Using Method 

Contact Cement is easy to apply because of the included brush. All you need to do is take a generous amount of adhesive on the brush and apply it to the surface. 

Press both parts together and leave it for some time. That’s all you need to do to bond things using contact cement. 

Gorilla Heavy-Duty adhesive comes with a syringe, making it easier to apply. First, the surface should be clean, dry, and free of dirt. 

After that, unscrew the nozzle, cut the tip of the cartridge, replace the nozzle, and cut to the desired bead size. Now, insert it into the cartridge gun. 

Apply the product to the surface in a zig-zag pattern. Be careful when squeezing out the glue. 

When working on a rough and uneven surface, apply a generous amount of adhesive to fill the gaps appropriately. 

After that, hold the surfaces together for 20-30 seconds and leave it for 10 minutes to set. You may need to clamp it for heavy items. 

Allow around 24 hours to cure, enough for a perfect bond. The curing time may fluctuate according to temperature, humidity, and surface quality. 

Caution 

Contact cement is extremely flammable, so it must be kept safe from direct heat or flame. 

Besides, vapors are harmful. So, you must wear safety masks and use the product in an open space. 

It can be harmful or fatal if swallowed, so make sure to keep it away from children and pets. 

On the other hand, Gorilla Heavy-Duty adhesive is irritating to the eyes and skin. So, wear safety masks, hand gloves, and goggles.

So, in my opinion, Gorilla Heavy-Duty Construction Adhesive is the better one.
